Sustainability at CGN is not a marketing claim. It is a measurable, audited, and published commitment embedded into every routing decision, every fleet investment, and every supplier relationship we hold.
CGN's sustainability strategy is built on three interconnected commitments: decarbonising our operations, running an ethical and responsible business, and investing in the communities where we operate.
Cutting the carbon footprint of every shipment through mode optimisation, fleet electrification, sustainable aviation fuel adoption, and rail-first routing on long-haul corridors.
Maintaining the highest standards in governance, supply chain ethics, data privacy, employee safety, and fair working conditions across every market we operate in.
Investing in education, employment, and humanitarian support in every market we serve, with a particular focus on emerging economies across Africa and Asia.
Operational Sustainability
From how we power our warehouses to how we route our vehicles, every operational decision at CGN is reviewed through a sustainability lens. We track energy use, waste output, and carbon per shipment across every facility and freight mode we operate.
Supply Chain Responsibility
CGN's sustainability obligations extend beyond our own operations. Every Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier in our network is assessed against our ESG supplier code. Non-compliant suppliers receive a structured improvement plan or are replaced. By 2027, 100% compliance is required.
All figures are measured against our 2020 baseline year and independently verified as part of our annual ESG reporting cycle. Updated every January.
Transparency is the foundation of credible sustainability. CGN measures and publishes data across six key categories every year, independently verified by a third-party auditor and available as a full public report.
